Power is a fresh water-cooled direct drive Yanmar 4JHE 50hp engine with 2849 hours. Dripless shaft seal. 1 1/4″ stainless steel propeller shaft. 3 blade bronze FlexOFold feathering propeller.

New Garmin touchscreen plotter. Autohelm digital display gauges. Lewmar folding wheel. Cockpit pedestal integrated with engine instruments and cockpit table. 

True Passion is an active cruising vessel and was purchased locally by the current owner in 2018.

Family cruising or a full time live aboard! The Hunter 430 is well suited for life in the PNW.

Sails & Rigging:

Double spreader aluminum deck-stepped design mast with swept back spreaders and no permanent backstay.  Shroud chainplates are mounted outboard at hull/deck join, reducing compression loads on mast.  Smaller genoa allows for close sheeting angle and good windward performance.  Mainsail has been updated to in-mast furling system.

• 1 X 19 stainless steel wire standing rigging.
• ProFurl headsail furling system with 100% genoa. 
• New genoa sheets 2018.
• Main furling system with new sail – new 2011.
• North cruising spinnaker with dousing sock.
• Garhauer rigid boom vang with 25:1 tackle adjuster.

Winches:

• 3 X Lewmar 44 – 2 speed self-tailing winches for halyard and genoa sheets.
• 1 X Lewmar 48 – Electric 2 speed self-tailing winch for main halyard and sheets.
• Line stoppers on halyards and sail adjustments.
• Aluminum spinnaker pole.
• Arch mounted mainsheet traveler.

 Ground tackle includes:

45 lb. CQR anchor loaded in bow roller with 300′ X 5/16″ chain rode. 33 lb. Bruce anchor loaded in secondary bow roller with 25′ X 3/16″ chain and 250’-line rode. Simpson Lawrence electric anchor windlass with foot switches at front deck. Stainless steel bow pulpit.

 The Hunter 430 is built to perform with style and comfort. She is fast, easy to sail, stable and comfortable. Thoughtful touches abound, like sail design that incorporates a fractional rig, swept-back spreaders and a full-roach main. This eliminates the need for a backstay and improves sail efficiency and ease of handling. The exterior design of the 430 includes a wraparound windshield with cover, integrated mainsheet arch with instrument pod, two-tone non-skid deck, walk-through transom, and a huge cockpit with wheel steering. A slippery but stable hull design incorporates a bulb wing keel and a spade rudder. Below deck are the amenities that make Hunter famous. A huge salon with convertible dinette, gourmet galley and twin staterooms, each with enclosed head and shower.
