Social distancing and recreational boating go hand in hand and if you really want to put some miles under your keel, Alioth is the boat for you. Custom built in France, this Canadian Registered ketch was designed to navigate the Northwest Passage and the ¼” galvanized steel hull was reinforced in the bow specifically for that voyage. The standing and running rigging was replaced in 2016 and the electronics package is extensive with AIS, Bluetooth Radar and Chartplotter, Auto-Pilot, iCom Single Side Band radio, Solar Panels, Wind Generator and Cape Horn Wind self steering. Down below is not what you expect with a steel hull: warm and inviting, Alioth has a large aft master cabin with a double and single bunk with lots of storage. The galley is perfect for off-shore cooking with a Force 10 propane stove and oven, large fridge with freezer and plenty of counter-space. 2 single bunks are located forward and a bonus workshop area is located in the traditional V-berth area that could be easily converted back into crew quarters. Heat is provided via a Dickenson Newport heater and hot and cold pressurized water is endless with the luxury of an Echo-Tec 500 water maker. A Walker Bay RIB with 9.9 Yamaha outboard, Liferaft (servicing due) and full Lohman winter cover is included. Moorage is assumable at Reed Point Marina.
