Godzilla is a 1983 J/29 fractional-rigged fiberglass racing sloop — a proven, performance-oriented design from J/Boats. Built for racing and simplicity, what she lacks in home comforts she certainly makes up for in speed and performance!
With tiller steering, auxiliary power is provided by a Nissan 9.8 hp outboard on a retractable transom bracket. The mast and the majority of the standing rigging were professionally replaced in 2016.
Deck & Cockpit
Forward, she carries a stainless pulpit, followed by a compact working deck with a forehatch. Side-deck access is clear to port and starboard, leading aft to a large open cockpit designed for active crew work. All control lines are led aft for efficient sail handling during races.
Interior
The interior is lightweight and race-ready, with a molded fiberglass floor and furniture pan for stiffness and easy maintenance. Forward is a basic V-berth and a marine head to port, separated from the main cabin by a bulkhead.
The salon offers opposing settees, a small galley to starboard with a single sink (currently not in use), and a compact nav station with electrical panel to port. Aft are port and starboard quarter berths and minimal storage along the cockpit sole. Comes with a Genius 12V charger. 2x 12V group 24 deep cycle batteries.
