Since “Float On” was purchased by her owners 2 years ago, this French built Dufour Gib-Sea 43 has rarely been in her slip! With new injectors installed on the 55hp Volvo Penta diesel engine and the addition of a bow thruster, this boat has everything you need for luxurious performance cruising.
With an in-mast furling Main matched with a 135% furling Genoa and asymmetrical spinnaker, this boat sails beautifully thanks to her double spreader rig, fin keel with bulb and spade rudder. The twin wheels with the preferred single rudder option opens the cockpit up to the walk-thru transom and with the 14′ beam carried aft, the interior and exterior space is noticeably more spacious than comparable vessels.
But this design didn’t win the 2001 “Boat of the Year” award based on the sail performance and timeless exterior design alone.
