This 1997 Bayliner 3587 Aft Cabin is a well-equipped cruising motor yacht powered by twin Cummins 6BTA 5.9-M2 diesels, rated at 250 HP each with approximately 1,995 hours. The combination of Cummins power and straight-shaft propulsion makes for a proven and practical cruising platform.
The 3587 makes excellent use of her 37-foot length, with three staterooms, two heads and two showers, comfortably accommodating six. The aft master provides privacy and space, while the forward and third staterooms give family and guests their own sleeping quarters. The main salon features a raised dinette and integrated galley, with large windows providing plenty of natural light.
Outside, the spacious aft deck is well suited to entertaining, while the upper command offers a second helm and additional seating. The upper station has been upgraded with a new Garmin GPSMAP 8400, with the canvas cleaned and the enclosure lenses replaced.
Cruising comfort has also been improved with a new Autoterm diesel heater and Starlink. A Highfield CL340 dinghy with a 9.9 HP Yamaha four-stroke, new cover and davit system is included, along with custom boarding steps.
The Cummins have received substantial recent attention. Both engines have new turbos, rebuilt fuel injectors, new prop shaft packing and custom stainless-steel exhaust systems with wrapping. Other recent work includes new start batteries, two new bilge pumps and two new sea strainers.
The boat received bottom paint and new zincs in August 2026.
