*2003 Grady-White Express 265*

“Priority” is a highly regarded sportfishing Grady known for its solid construction and useful design.

(2) owner local boat. Think, dialed in and proven fishing machine. This model is ideal for the cruising and fishing done in the PNW.

The 265 Express feels, looks, and rides like a much bigger boat. With an impressive 9’7 beam and large 250g fuel capacity. Fish all day with a wide-open cockpit. The cuddy accommodates a cruising couple. The boat is seaworthy and stylish and makes for a fine west coast boat.

Upgraded with: Planar diesel/kerosene heat / Garmin Touchscreen plotter with sonar.

Power is twin Yamaha F225 engines with 1337 hours. The engines are serviced regularly. Records available. This has been a great boat for the current owners, who’ve just bought a bigger Grady.

Cruising speed is 26 knots at 3900 rpm while burning 17gph. With the hull design and power package the boat is smoother running over 25 knots.

With tremendous lines, the 265 looks fantastic on the water. The topside is polished. Out of the water for bottom paint and zincs May 2026.

Construction – Built with a solid fiberglass hull and a reputation for durability and seaworthiness. This boat not only represented a unique new design for Grady, but it also set a new standard for 26-foot fishing boats. From the unique hard-top design to the wide beam and genuine express features, like the center line helm seat with port and stbd seating. However, the most significant difference between this boat and previous Grady’s is its new running-surface design. Grady still uses the SeaV2 concept of a constantly variable deadrise, but the vee is considerably deeper throughout.

“I had the opportunity to run two Gradys – one with the new hull design and one with older technology. Driving one immediately after the other points out the difference in ride in a head sea quite dramatically. The newer design provided a noticeably smoother ride in the 2- to 4-foot seas”

Cockpit – Most 26-footers have slight problems with multiple anglers. The Grady 265, with its full-length cockpit, is exceptionally different. This large cockpit can be attributed to the fact that there’s no transom baitwell or back bench. Plus a folding transom engine well. Spacious, with ample room for fishing gear and movement. 75g in floor fish box. Fresh water sink, raw water wash down. Tackle drawer, and more..

Cabin – Includes a V-berth with room for two, a small galley, fridge, manual pump head with macerator and holding tank. The cabin is designed for overnight trips and offers basic amenities for an easy weekend away.

Helm – The 265 sports a centerline helm seat just like on the bigger express boats. This model also offers terrific ergonomics at the helm. While seated, you can see perfectly over the bow. While standing you are still able to look through the windshield rather than through the support bar. With  large overhead electronics box in the hardtop. Raymarine Panther radar. The hardtop design provides more headroom, plus space for a zippered life jacket compartment.

Size and space – 9’7 beam, 5390 lbs, 20g water, 10g waste) With an impressive 250g of fuel. You have the range to cruise extensively and if you want to go chase Tuna off Vancouver Island, this express will get you out there. The impression of the 265 is that of a larger boat.
