Acadia – Catalina 30 Mk II – 1988
The Catalina 30 really is a timeless cruiser — one of the most successful 30-foot sailboats ever built.
Designed for comfort, performance, and ease of handling, they’re the perfect boat for exploring the inlets, islands, and harbours of the Pacific Northwest, and you can do just that on Acadia, a Catalina 30 Mkii that has been lovingly maintained and thoughtfully equipped by a long-time owner.
Layout & Comfort
The interior layout makes the most of Acadia’s generous beam (10’10”) and headroom (over 6’1”). Forward, a spacious V-berth features a deck hatch for light and ventilation, with a private head to port and hanging locker to starboard.
The main salon offers a large convertible dinette to port, a full-length settee to starboard, and a well-appointed galley aft with stove, sink, and 12v refrigerator. A Dickinson propane stove in the cabin will heat the entire boat on those cold Vancouver nights.
On Deck
The cockpit is large and secure, with pedestal steering, canvas dodger, port and aft storage lockers, and a stainless-steel swim ladder off the transom for easy access to the water.
The stainless pushpit carries a rescue collar, outboard motor, and barbecue mount for relaxed evenings at anchor.
Sailing & Deck Gear
Acadia is equipped with lazy jacks, rigid boom vang, backstay adjuster, upgraded genoa cars, a full suite of electronics for confident navigation and cruising.
A whisker pole, and a windlass for effortless anchoring. She also comes with a 150% Genoa, 135% Genoa, as well as a spare anchor in addition to a solid primary setup.
